If this were an ad, you’d have to watch 30 seconds of it or click on it, for me to actually make money from it. Good thing, I don’t actually rely on AdSense to make money from YouTube. And you don’t have to either.

Most content creators on YouTube, who rely heavily on AdSense for income, don’t see the full potential of how much money they can really make, with their channel. And the reason why is because they don’t realize that their channel can be a vehicle, to drive more traffic to other streams of income and create an audience, that you now own.

What would happen if for some reason Google or if YouTube shut down your channel? Or if they turned off your ads? Which does happen to big creators. They lose all of that revenue opportunity after they’ve done all of the work. And the reality is, you could make a couple of thousand dollars with AdSense, but today I’m going to show you how you can make a six or even seven figure business on YouTube. But before we get into it, I have a case study, the exact step by step, for how we implement this for ourselves and for our clients, that has the potential to even double or triple, your revenue on YouTube. 

So here’s the reality with AdSense, is that you can turn on these ads that people have to watch before they get to your video. But what happens if someone doesn’t want to watch an ad. They may click off your video and you lose them forever. They didn’t have the opportunity to fall in love with your charm and personality, to click that subscribe button or click the link below your video to sign up for your email list, which you could’ve had them on your Facebook pixels so you could remarket to them. You could’ve nurtured them into a long, loving relationship and had them as a customer. But instead, that AdSense might’ve driven them away.

I wouldn’t recommend turning on AdSense on your videos until you have an engaged and loyal following. Until then, please work on engaging your audience, getting them to subscribe, getting them to engage on all of your videos. Coming back for more.

But more importantly, if you can get them to click on that link, sign up for your email list and then be able to nurture them. And have them on an email list, that you own that traffic. That’s where you have more opportunity to be able to sell to them and get them into a more long term relationship with them.

Because even though they’ve subscribed to your channel, doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re going to be watching all your videos. It doesn’t mean that your videos are going to come up in the feed or that they’ll get notified by it. One of the best ways to turn your YouTube channel into a business is by offering your products or services in your videos, through your lead magnets, through your funnels. So for example, I said, “You can click the link below to get my free masterclass, to get my free PDF, to get the case study of how we can implement this for you.” Now you can take that and you can implement it yourself and if you need help, you know where to turn, because we’ve done it for so many others and gotten amazing results through it.

So when you’re able to do that for yourself, no matter what your business is, you can have people sign up for your email list. You show that you have the authority, that you are the thought leader in this subject and that they know who they can trust if they ever need this in their life.

Whether you’re a Quilter, whether you’re a Plumber, whether you’re a Best-Selling Author, you have the ability to build your own audience, without relying on AdSense, or without relying on YouTube for you to make that revenue. You can create so many different revenue streams from YouTube, without relying on AdSense.

When we work with our clients, it’s so important to us, that all of your content is automatically positioning themselves, as the thought leader and the expert in their niche, without compromising their message. Now if you give that up to AdSense, they may be putting videos in front of you, in front of those videos that you’re audience is watching, that has nothing to do with you and might even, be against your values.

So what’s so important is that you have that messaging, that really draws in your audience, that really hooks them. Positions you, as the authority and then drives them towards that call to action. Which again remember that when you own that email list, you own the ability to nurture them, to communicate with them. Instead of hoping that, just because they’re subscribed to you, or just because they’re following you, that they’re going to keep seeing what you have to offer. When you give them something of value. So if you say, click the link below to get this free thing, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. It could be, some sort of checklist, it could be a PDF, it could be a free video series. It could be something that gives them value and teaches them something.

Give them an answer to or a solution to something that they needed, which then again, grows that no like trust factor, so they know that you are the person to follow and recommend to all their followers and recommend to all of their friends and family. And they become a part of your movement.
